All that lovely fiber should keep me out of trouble for awhile! But what's that? Oh right, I also needed some yarn. The natural hues are awesome and I couldn't resist!

I've really, really wanted one for the longest time! A lovely drum carder was looking for a new home, so it came home with me. It's a decent-sized carder and it should comfortably produce 2 oz batts (or possibly 3 oz if I really push things). Ah, bliss!

It has been awhile since I've carved anything. Mostly because I'm lacking in inspiration and ideas on what to carve. The first two are custom requests from a fellow STSer, and the last two just felt right given my state of mind.
...that I really, really need a drum carder. These gorgeous batts are a scrumptious blend of alpaca, wool and bamboo, made by the talented CH.

More chunky houses for another round of the Little Chunky Houses swap! This time, I decided to go with a series of houses (using the same basic design...with small variations), and I made sure to sketch out a plan of sorts before I got overwhelmed by the E6000 glue fumes.

Having received 45 inchies in a swap, I figured I might as well do something with them before they get scatterd all over the house. But I wasn't quite sure about how I wanted to display them. For now, I've mounted them with rubber cement on the back of a photo frame. It definitely adds a much needed splash of colour to the bland walls in my new office!
After my first batch of chunky houses, I've decided that my tiny houses (~ 3" by 4") are definitely bungalows (i.e. single storey, single-family residence)! RY and I did a personal swap for a chunky house. This is what I made for her.
It began with an innocent enough conversation about green practices...which led to a promise to make a couple of bags in non-girly colours that a guy would not be ashamed to use at the grocer's. Somewhere, somehow, 2 guy-friendly shopping bags grew to a grand total of 15 grocery bags *sheepish* The shopping bag pattern I used is an adaption of various patterns available online. Best of all, I like that it folds flat and is tucked away neatly...ready for my next shopping trip! Hmm...now I need to figure out what to do with the rest of the bags.
Lately, all I seem to work on, are papercraft projects. Per usual, these are for a swap on Craftster.

I haven't a clue as to why pincushions are so darn addictive. Seriously. You just can't make one and call it a day. Here's what I sewed for my swap partner, MB, for round 10 of a pincushion swap.
