which somehow ended up being "three for my partner, and three for me" in one of my Craftster swaps. No regrets though! These projects have been on my to-do list for awhile, and I'm really thankful for the chance to get them done!
1. Slouchy Bag (Cindy Taylor Oates pattern)
The black/white one's mine, while my partner requested a bag in various shades of green for her mama. The instructions that came with the pattern was incredibly wordy and a bit confusing *sigh* That and I find out that making your own binding and installing them brings out the worst in me :P
2. Dotted Dream Purse (free pattern from Ottobre Design)
Another project that I've been wanting to tackle for ages! The red, white, blue purse is for my swap partner (she picked those colours), while the green purse will be a gift for a friend (who shall remain unnamed...for now). I love the handles for this purse, and I'm already thinking of ways to incorporate that design into my other purse-making endeavours!!! 
3. Stalks and Blossoms Scarf (free pattern from The Purl Bee blog)
The colour description on the tag for the yarn read "Dark Teal" but in reality, the colour is more like a "Dark Foliage Green". This simple lace pattern was a fun and easy knit, and yes, I ended up making two scarves with the same colours because I fell in love with the colour while working on my partner's scarf.
A quick sewing project to fill the void for a Summer/Fall accessory. The exterior fabric (a mere FQ) was received in a personal swap...many moons ago. Couldn't figure out what to make with it...until now. I think I will enjoy toting this around!
Or rather these mill end rovings were dyed months ago...and I forgot about them *embarrassed* Somehow, they got lost in my evergrowing stash of fibers while I was trying to reorganize things in the craft closet.

Grape Berry - Light worsted Polypay Wool yarn.
Taste the Rainbow - Lace weight Mohair/Wool blend yarn.
Twilight Blue - Light worsted Wool yarn.
And it's a stamp based on original artwork that was drawn by the person I carved it for. Yep, it's koi!
I can't seem to get enough of carved stamps! Somehow, it's rather therapeutic to whittle away at the rubber bits and see a cool design emerge when you're done. Oh, and it's a nice diversion from my lace knitting wips.
For the niece...of course. I saw the fabric and thought it was perfectly charming. This was completed weeks ago. If I don't send it over, she'll outgrow the dress before she ever gets to wear it!
I've been hearing noises. Nah, not the spooky sort associated with spirits and ghouls, but rather the not-so-quiet scurrying of critters around the kitchen area. Time to do something about that, I suppose...

My first attempt with silk noil fibers! The resultant yarn is lusterous and nubby. 
I've been meaning to experiment with the fusing technique for ages. Now that I have, I must admit it's brilliant! The finished pieces looks like faux fused glass pendants!! And the great thing about it is that the pieces are not as prone to chips or cracks when dropped :o)
I've been busy experimenting with polystyrene sheets *glee*
Just call me a spinning fool! Lately, I've been spending more time with my drop spindle than I really should. These are the orange and green batts! Four down...all that's left is the blue batt (it'll be my favourite, I think)!
In April, I received five wonderful mixed fiber batts to create art yarn. So far, I've worked on the red and yellow batts...and I'm halfway done with the orange batt, but here's a picture of the batts before I started spinning them:
* Red Batt (white seacell, black merino, red acrylic, pink suri alpaca locks, firestar, angelina, tinsel, mylar shred, handspun)
* Orange Batt (white merino/bamboo, black/pumpkin merino, orange shetland, orange silk, angelina, firestar, cotswold curls, tinsel)
* Yellow Batt (white cotton, natural black llama, angelina, yellow cotswold, yellow sari silk, tinsel, firestar)
* Green Batt (white mohair locks, natural black wool, white recycled soda bottle, angelina, firestar, cotswold curls)
* Blue Batt (white-indigo blend, black wool/mohair, black nylon, light blue merino, two tone blue mystery locks, angelina, sparkle)
This will be a one of! *sigh* The pigments in the crayons stained the mold pretty badly, so making another batch is out of the question!
Made for my swap partner, who loves all things pink and cupcakes! The little cupcake charms are made with shrinky dinks (drawn with Sharpies).
